Congratulations
You have decided to take one of the most important steps of your life! When we marry, we change from being the people we were; in a real sense we become part of a wonderful relationship that is so intimate that the Bible likens it to the relationship between Jesus and His Church. When you marry you will make vows to each other, in the presence of God, and before the witnesses whom you have invited. You marry each other, and true marriage is a life-long commitment binding husband and wife to each other.
Planning a Church Wedding
If you decide to marry in Church, you are declaring to God that you want Him to be part of your wedding day, and ultimately, your lives together in the future.
During a marriage ceremony you will make vows and promises in the presence of God. If you don’t believe in God, as a couple you must decide if a church wedding is really what you want.
At Strathblane, we would expect you to attend church before the marriage takes place and we would also invite you to attend our Open Door enquirers groups.
Please contact the minister as soon as possible when planning your wedding.
